Pastor Austin preached from 2 Samuel 24 in a sermon titled “The Great Savior King.” Through David’s sin and the plague that followed, the message showed the seriousness of humanity’s sin and our need for a Savior.
The sermon focused on two important truths. First, the great plague of humanity. Sin brings judgment and separates us from God, and we cannot save ourselves from its consequences. Second, the great Savior King of humanity. David’s response points us to our need for a greater King, Jesus Christ, who gave His life to save His people from sin and judgment.
This message reminds us that sin is a serious problem, but God has provided the Savior we need. Jesus is the great King who brings forgiveness and salvation to all who trust in Him.
