At Neely's Bend Baptist Church, we want every child to know they are loved, cared for, and welcomed into our church family. More importantly, we want them to hear and understand the good news of Jesus.
Nursery • Preschool • Kindergarten–5th Grade
We don't want our children's ministry to simply teach children to be nice, behave well, or learn Bible stories.
We want them to know the gospel. To know that they are sinners and Jesus died to be their Savior.
The Bible is not merely a collection of stories or moral lessons. It tells one story of God's plan to redeem sinners through Jesus Christ. So we want to teach children the deep truths of God's Word in ways they can understand, pointing them again and again to Jesus and the gospel.
We may not be a large church, but we believe there is something special about being part of a church family where children are known by name and cared for personally.
Our smaller children's ministry allows our teachers and volunteers to build relationships with the children they serve. We want every child who walks through our doors to feel welcomed, cared for, and known.

Check In
When you arrive, head downstairs to our children's area in the Fellowship Hall. We'll help you get your child checked in and to the appropriate class.
Bible Class
Children from preschool through 5th grade participate in age-appropriate Bible teaching using The Biggest Story curriculum.
Pick Up
Parents pick up their children following Sunday School and check them out.
Family Worship
Then the whole family gathers upstairs for worship together.
At NBBC, children stay with their families during our worship service. We believe there is value in children seeing their parents worship, hearing God's Word preached, singing with the congregation, and learning what it means to worship as part of the body of Christ.
What about nursery during worship?
We currently do not have enough volunteers to provide a staffed nursery during the worship service. We hope to offer this in the future as our children's ministry grows and more members are able to serve.
Parents have the primary responsibility and privilege of discipling their children. Our children's ministry exists to come alongside you in that work.
We want to help your children know God's Word, understand the gospel, and grow in their knowledge and love of Jesus. What happens at church is meant to support what happens in your home.
At church:
We teach God's Word and point children to Christ.
At home:
Parents continue the conversation and disciple their children.
Together:
We help children grow as followers of Jesus within the church family.
We currently use The Biggest Story curriculum to help children see how the individual stories of Scripture fit together into the larger story of God's redemption.
The Bible
God's Word is true and teaches us who God is and what He has done.
The Gospel
Jesus came to save sinners through His life, death, and resurrection.
Discipleship
We want children not simply to know about Jesus, but to grow as followers of Jesus.
We take seriously the responsibility of caring for the children God has entrusted to us. Our children's ministry is designed to provide a safe, welcoming environment where children can learn about Jesus and parents can feel confident leaving their children in our care.
Our children's ministry is still growing, and we're excited about what God is doing at Neely's Bend.
We want to see more children become part of our church family—not simply so we can have a bigger children's program, but so more families can know and love Jesus together.
