2 Samuel 7
The House that Stands Forever

Pastor Austin preached from 2 Samuel 7 in a sermon titled “The House That Stands Forever.” Through God’s covenant with David, the message showed how God’s plans are greater than our own and how His promises can be trusted.

The sermon highlighted three important truths. First, God needs no house. David desired to build a house for God, but God reminded him that He does not depend on His people to establish His greatness. Second, God promises a house. Instead of David building a house for God, God promised to build a lasting house for David through his descendants, ultimately pointing to Jesus Christ, the eternal King.

Lastly, God’s promises invite our faithfulness. Because God is faithful to His promises, His people are called to respond with faithfulness and obedience.

This message reminded the church that God is the One who establishes His kingdom and keeps His promises. We can trust Him, remain faithful to Him, and look forward to the eternal King and kingdom that will stand forever.
