As David's kingdom is established, we see more clearly what kind of king he is. David blesses those connected to his former enemy, gives victory to God's people, and worships the Lord with joy and humility. Yet David's reign ultimately points us beyond himself to the greater King, Jesus Christ.
Because Christ has blessed us and given us victory over sin and death, we are called to bless others and worship Him with joy, humility, and reverence.
