Pastor Austin preached from 1 Samuel 24 in a sermon titled “The Character of the Anointed One.” Through David’s response to Saul, the message showed what it looks like to reflect a heart that honors God, even in difficult circumstances.
The sermon highlighted three characteristics believers are called to reflect. First, patience, trusting God’s timing instead of taking matters into our own hands. Second, righteousness, choosing to do what is right even when it is difficult. Third, mercy, showing grace and compassion to others, just as David spared Saul’s life.
This message encouraged the church to follow the example of David and, ultimately, Jesus Christ by living lives marked by patience, righteousness, and mercy as we seek to honor God each day.
